Around the "Terres de la chouette"

10 minutes by car is the charming medieval town of Saint-Léonard de Noblat known for its collegiate church , listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and which hikers on the way to Santiago de Compostela know well because it makes a stopover of pilgrimage (part of the " way of Vézelay ").

Less than 15 minutes by car, Lake Sainte-Hélène in Bujaleuf where you can swim, fish , take a ride in a pedal boat, paddle or canoe.

About half an hour away, Limogeswhich is presented as the capital of the arts of fire for its enamels, stained glass windows and porcelain, where you can stroll through the pretty historic quarter, visit its cathedral as well as its botanical garden, its museums and many nice little shops.

Visit the city of Bourganeuf and its Zizim tower, Eybouleuf and its Pouyol dolmen.

A little further, Lake Vassivière also offers a nice break. It is the largest in Limousin and is spread over the departments of Creuse and Haute-Vienne . In a wild environment, it is an ideal place to walk and observe its fauna and flora. Various facilities are provided for water sports (sailing, water skiing, canoeing , paddle ...), you can go tree climbing or hiking with a donkey.There is also the International Center for Art and Landscape located in Beaumont-du-Lac.

Join the regional natural park of the Millevaches plateau and discover its traditional landscape made up of peat bogs, ponds, moors and forests. And take the opportunity to climb to Mont Gargan which culminates at 731 m and which opens onto a magnificent panorama.
